    Perkins Early Learning Center Holistic early education (ages 3–6) blending sensory play, braille exposure, and family-centered support. Includes OT, PT, music therapy, and CVI-friendly strategies 

    Play Packs by Seedlings Braille-labeled toys bundled with books that encourage tactile exploration and pre-literacy. Great for home or gifting. 

  • Preschoolers & Early Elementary (ages 4-8 )

    Paths to Literacy Lesson plans, games, crafts, and pre-braille activities designed by educators for kids using tactile, large print, and multisensory formats. 

    Braille Book Library – Braille Institute Thousands of braille books available by mail. Youth collection includes picture books and early readers.

    Little Lighthouse Foundation Offers support for students with multiple disabilities, including vision loss. Teen programs vary by location. 

    Foundation Fighting Blindness Chapters Local events and community meetups—great for teens connecting over shared diagnoses or planning advocacy projects.

    National Organization of Parents of Blind Children (NOPBC) A division of the NFB, this parent-led group offers mentorship, publications, seminars, and advocacy for families raising blind children. 

    American Printing House for the Blind (APH) Offers free braille literacy tools like Braille Brain, plus FamilyConnect and VisionAware resources tailored to kids and parents. 

    Perkins School for the Blind Early Learning Center  Learning Center Provides preschool education and family support for children ages 3–6, including sensory play, braille readiness, and CVI strategies.
