Vision nonprofit is dedicated to supporting students with vision needs

We provide free assistive devices, like iPads, to children and teens in grades K–12 across the U.S. who have documented designation of low vision or blindness. Devices are distributed on a rolling basis, depending on available inventory and funding.

Every child deserves access to tools that build confidence and independence—especially at home. Whether it’s reading, exploring interests, or staying connected, the right technology can help kids thrive beyond the classroom.

How assistive tech helps

Right now, we offer iPads with built-in accessibility features designed to support students with visual impairments. These tools help kids explore interests independently. Each iPad includes features like:

  • VoiceOver and Spoken Content for screen reading

  • Magnifier, Zoom, and Text Size Adjustments for visual clarity

  • Dictation, Hover Text, and Accessibility Shortcuts for ease of use

  • Display setting, Dark Mode, and Reduce Motion for comfort and customization

We’re always listening to families and exploring ways to expand our offerings. As funding and inventory grow, we hope to include additional devices and accessories tailored to different needs.

“Masen has told us how much better it has been to look at diagrams and charts on the iPad instead of tactile and raised graphs on paper…it’s hard to get a full grasp on the picture or graph by tracing it with your hand.”
