One Device, Big Difference

How one iPad can unlock confidence, connection, and possibility
When our son Joey was born, we had no idea how deeply technology would shape his world.
From his earliest days navigating congenital nystagmus and low vision, Joey quickly taught us that vision loss didn’t mean a lack of vision for life. It meant finding new ways to access the same experiences as everyone else—with the right tools.
We started Vision Nonprofit with one simple goal: to give kids like Joey what they need to thrive.
An iPad may seem like just a device to some, but for a student with low vision, it can be a lifeline. It magnifies the board. It connects them to their classmates. It opens up creative outlets. It helps them see their potential.
This year, our mission was featured in West Chester + Liberty Lifestyle, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to share Joey’s story—and the stories of so many other kids like him—with our community.
The article highlights how our Vision Kits provide students with essential tools like iPads, Apple Pencils, AirPods, and stands—customized for their needs and made possible by generous donors. What began as a way to support Joey has grown into something far bigger, thanks to your support.
Every time we deliver a Vision Kit, we’re delivering a message: "You matter. You belong. You can do this."
And we’ve seen the results—more confidence, better engagement in class, and a renewed excitement for learning.
We’re just getting started.
There are still so many students waiting for the technology that can help them participate fully in school and life. If you know a student who could benefit from a Vision Kit, apply here. If you want to help fund our mission, donate here.
One device really can make a big difference.
